Grohe Kitchen Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide
Grohe kitchen remodeling in Miami typically runs $16,520 – $53,100 depending on whether you’re replacing a single failed component or doing a full fixture-and-counter refresh. We stock common Grohe cartridges, spray heads, and mounting hardware on our trucks, and most parts can be sourced or installed same-week, not same-day. The way most Miami homeowners discover they need us is simple: a Grohe faucet starts leaking from the base, the pull-down spray goes limp, or the handle gets stiff and gritty. That’s almost always a cartridge failure, a worn O-ring, or mineral buildup from South Florida’s hard water, and it’s fixable without replacing a perfectly good faucet.
We’re an independent remodeling contractor in Miami; we’re not affiliated with Grohe, but we’ve installed and serviced enough of their kitchen lines to know the parts that fail, the ones that last, and when a faucet is worth saving versus replacing.
Which Grohe Models This Applies To

Most Grohe kitchen faucets we see in Miami fall into three lines: the Ladylux series (pull-out spray, very common in condo and single-family kitchens), the Concetto and Eurosmart lines (single-handle, high-arc), and the Minta or K7 touch-activated models that show up in higher-end remodels. Within each line, the cartridge and spray-head part numbers change by generation, and that’s the gotcha: a Ladylux from 2015 and a Ladylux from 2022 do not share the same cartridge even though they look nearly identical at arm’s length. Grohe stamps a small model code on the side of the faucet body or on a tag under the sink, and matching that code is the only reliable way to order the right part.
For most homeowners, a genuine Grohe OEM cartridge runs $35 – $90 and is worth the extra money over a $12 aftermarket copy. The aftermarket parts often seal fine for a year, then the plastic softens in Miami’s heat and the drip returns. We’ll install either if you supply it, but when we source parts, we spec OEM for anything that touches water pressure.

Signs Your Grohe Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- A persistent drip from the spout after the handle is off. This is almost always a worn ceramic cartridge or a flattened rubber seat. The fix is a cartridge swap, not a new faucet.
- The pull-down spray head won’t stay seated. Grohe uses a magnetic docking collar; over time the magnet housing cracks or the counterweight under the sink slips. We see this constantly in Miami kitchens where the spray gets used hard.
- The handle turns gritty or sticks at mid-range. Hard water deposits build inside the cartridge housing. Miami’s municipal water runs 8 – 10 grains of hardness in most neighborhoods, which is enough to shorten cartridge life to 4 – 6 years instead of 8.
- Water seeps from the base of the faucet when the tap runs. The O-rings under the escutcheon plate have dried and shrunk from heat and age. This one’s slow, but the water gets under the counter lip and can damage the cabinet deck if ignored.
- Flow drops to a trickle at the spray head. The aerator or spray-head filter is clogged with grit or scale. Sometimes it cleans up; sometimes the head assembly is shot and needs replacement.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

A single Grohe part replacement in Miami runs $295 – $825 installed, including the part, labor, and disposal of the old component. If the failure has you rethinking the whole kitchen, a full remodel lands between $16,520 and $53,100 depending on cabinet line, countertop material, and whether plumbing needs to move. We use KraftMaid and Wellborn cabinetry, Cambria and Silestone countertops, and Grohe, Kohler, and Moen fixtures, so the price reflects real materials, not allowances.
What drives the cost up or down: whether the shutoff valves under the sink still work (half the Miami homes we open up have frozen angle stops), whether the existing faucet can be saved with a cartridge versus a full fixture swap, and whether the counter needs drilling or modification to fit a new spray configuration. Every job gets a written price before we touch a tool, and our 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the work.
DIY or Call Us?
Replacing a Grohe cartridge is one of the safer kitchen repairs, but it’s still the kind of job where a homeowner can strip a set screw, crack a plastic retaining ring, or cross-thread the cartridge housing if the old one is swollen in place. If you can shut off the water at the angle stops and they actually turn, you can try it. If the stops are frozen, call us instead; forcing them risks breaking the valve inside the wall, and that’s a much more expensive day.
For anything involving the pull-down hose replacement inside the cabinet, it’s tight work with a lot of sharp edges. We’d rather you spend the time on a project you enjoy. Call (850) 988-7559 and we’ll give you a number first, then pick up the tools.
FAQs

In Miami’s hard water, a Grohe ceramic cartridge typically lasts 4 – 6 years before it starts showing signs of wear, compared to 8 – 10 years in softer-water cities. The minerals in our municipal supply gradually pock the ceramic discs and degrade the rubber seals. If you’re changing one every two years, something else is going on and we’d want to look at it. Call (850) 988-7559 for an exact diagnosis; estimates are free.
Generally no. Grohe cartridges and spray heads are sealed units; once the internal seals fail or the ceramic discs score, the reliable fix is replacement. There’s no rebuild kit for the cartridge itself. That said, we’ll always confirm the part is actually dead before selling you a new one.
Most single-part replacements, from cartridge to spray head to mounting hardware, take 45 minutes to 2 hours once we’re at your door. The bigger variable is sourcing: common Ladylux and Eurosmart parts are usually available within a few days in Miami; older or discontinued models may need a special order. We’ll tell you the timeline in writing before we order anything.
We stock the most common Grohe cartridges, O-rings, and spray-head mounts on our service vehicles because they cover a large share of Miami kitchens. If your model needs something unusual, we source it from Grohe’s regional distribution network, usually inside a week. You’ll know the part cost and the labor cost before we proceed.
