Meet the Miami Team Behind Penhallow Remodeling Miami
Remodeling work in Miami comes with its own set of realities: humidity that punishes the wrong materials, older homes with hidden surprises behind the drywall, and homeowners who’ve heard one too many vague promises from contractors. The crew we’ve built at Penhallow Remodeling Miami is local to these neighborhoods and knows those realities firsthand. Every person on our team shows up background-checked and in uniform, and every one of them works under the same rule Trevor Nash set when he started this location: say the price before the work, show up when you said you would, and leave the place cleaner than you found it.

Our People

Marcus D., Lead Technician
Marcus has been running residential remodels in South Florida for 14 years, the last six of them with Penhallow. He’s the person who walks your home during the estimate, opens the cabinet doors, checks the slope of the bathroom floor, and tells you honestly whether that wall can come down or whether it’s carrying load. His specialty is kitchens with awkward layouts – the galley kitchens in older Kendall homes, the tight condo kitchens in Brickell – where he’s learned to find storage space that wasn’t obviously there. Marcus is a certified lead carpenter and keeps a small notebook in his truck where he sketches cabinet layouts before any drawings go to the designer. On weekends he fishes off Key Biscayne and claims the snapper bite is better than anyone gives it credit for.
Elena R., Senior Installer
Elena came to us from high-end residential work in Coral Gables, where she spent eight years installing custom cabinetry and quartz countertops. She’s our go-to for the finish stage of a project: setting KraftMaid and Wellborn cabinets, templating Cambria and Caesarstone tops, and making the reveals line up so the result looks like the cabinets grew out of the wall. Elena holds certifications in Cambria and Silestone fabrication and installation, which means the countertop warranties from those manufacturers stay fully intact on her installs. She’s also the person on the team most likely to notice a cabinet door that’s an eighth of an inch off and refuse to leave until it’s corrected. Outside work she restores mid-century furniture, which explains the patience.
Devon P., Service Coordinator
Devon is the voice on the phone when you call Penhallow Remodeling Miami at (850) 988-7559. He’s been coordinating remodels in Miami-Dade for nine years, and his job is to make sure the schedule we give you is the schedule that happens. When you book an estimate, Devon confirms the arrival window, sends the confirmation, and calls the day before to remind you. If a material shipment gets delayed at the port or a permit inspection shifts, he’s the one who calls you before you have to call us. Devon grew up in Little Havana and still lives there, and he routes our crews around Miami traffic with an almost suspicious level of accuracy. He also keeps a running list of the best cafecito spots near every job site we run, which the crew has officially declared a job benefit.
Shane W., Apprentice
Shane is two years into his remodeling apprenticeship with us and works alongside Marcus and Elena on every job. He’s the one doing the unglamorous but critical work: protecting floors and furniture before demo starts, keeping the job site swept and organized at the end of each day, and learning the trade from people who’ve done it long enough to explain why cement board substrate (the moisture-resistant layer behind your tile) matters in a Miami bathroom. Shane is enrolled in a four-year carpentry apprenticeship program and is already trusted to handle rough framing under supervision. He’s originally from Hialeah and is, by a wide margin, the most energetic person on any job site at 7 a.m.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Penhallow location operates independently, but the standard doesn’t change from one city to the next. We work to The Kingswell Way, a set of operating rules that’s been in place since 2004: write the price before any work starts, show up in the window we gave you, background-check every technician, and put the guarantee in writing. For our Miami crew, that means the number on your written estimate is the number on the final invoice – not a starting point, not a ballpark, a written number you can hold us to. It means Marcus, Elena, Devon, and Shane all answer to the same 365-Day Done Right Promise: if something we installed fails inside the guarantee period, we come back and fix it at no charge. And if a repair fails, the return visit is free too – no service call, no re-inspection fee. A live person answers our phone 24/7, which means when you call with a question at 8 p.m. or 7 a.m., you’re talking to a person, not a voicemail prompt.
