Tremron Driveway & Pavers: The Miami Owner’s Guide
We install and repair Tremron-compatible driveway pavers throughout Miami, with most paver driveway installations running $8,260 – $21,240 depending on square footage, base condition, and paver style. If a section of your Tremron driveway has shifted, cracked, or sunk, we can usually get it leveled or replaced within the week. What most Miami homeowners notice first is a paver rocking underfoot near the driveway apron, or water pooling in a low spot that wasn’t there last rainy season.
The honest truth about pavers in Miami: the paver itself rarely fails. It’s what’s underneath that gives out. South Florida’s sandy soil, daily afternoon downpours, and the constant expansion and contraction from heat and humidity work on the base layer until it compresses unevenly. The Tremron paver on top is just along for the ride. Trevor Nash has seen this pattern enough times in Coconut Grove and across Miami that he can usually tell you within five minutes of looking whether you need a spot fix or a full base rebuild.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron manufactures concrete pavers in a wide range of series, and the compatibility question usually comes down to dimensions and thickness rather than a model number. The most common Tremron lines we see in Miami driveways are the Holland Stone, Olde Towne Cobble, and Mega series. Holland pavers run about 4″ x 8″ in a range of thicknesses. Olde Towne Cobble runs larger, closer to 6″ x 9″, with a tumbled edge that gives older Miami homes that settled, European look. Mega pavers are the big-format choice at 12″ x 12″ or larger, and they’re the ones we most often see cracked when a vehicle’s weight lands on a void under the paver.
Here’s the compatibility gotcha: Tremron changes dye lots and mold dimensions between production runs. A paver bought in 2019 will not match a paver bought in 2025, even if it’s the same series and color name. If you’re doing a repair and want the new section to blend, bring us one of your existing pavers and we’ll match size first, then get as close on color as the current production allows. For aftermarket equivalents, we work with Belgard and Unilock products that meet the same ASTM specs for concrete pavers, and they’re a solid option when the exact Tremron run is no longer available. Penhallow Remodeling Miami is an independent contractor, not a Tremron dealer, which means we can source whichever paver actually fits your driveway rather than pushing one brand.

Signs Your Tremron Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Rocking or wobbling pavers near the driveway edge. The sand base has washed out from underneath, usually from lawn runoff or a downspout pointed the wrong way. Left alone, the paver cracks along its edge within a season or two.
- A sunken depression where the car tires sit. This is base failure, not paver failure. The compacted sub-base has settled unevenly, and the fix means lifting the pavers, re-grading and re-compacting, then relaying the same stones if they’re still intact.
- Water pooling in the same spot after every storm. Miami’s rainy season exposes grade problems fast. Pooling tells you the driveway’s pitch has flattened or reversed in that section, which means water is working its way into the base instead of flowing to the street or a drain.
- Cracks running diagonally across multiple pavers. A single cracked paver is bad luck. A crack line running through several pavers means the base has shifted under load, and the pavers are now load-bearing where they were never designed to be.
- Sand pushing up between pavers, or ants building mounds at the joints. Both mean the joint sand has eroded and the pavers are no longer locked together. Ants love dry paver joints. Once the sand is gone, pavers start drifting and the interlock fails one stone at a time.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a full Tremron paver driveway installation in Miami, budget $8,260 – $21,240. That range covers everything from a straight two-car driveway with standard Holland pavers to a larger or curvier driveway with Olde Towne Cobble or Mega pavers, new edge restraint, and a rebuilt base. What moves the price most is base depth. Miami code and good practice call for 4 – 6 inches of compacted sub-base for residential driveways, and if your existing base was never compacted properly, that’s the single biggest cost driver on a replacement.
Every quote we write includes the paver material, base and bedding sand, edge restraint, haul-away of the old material, and the labor to lay and compact. You get one written number before work starts, and that number is the invoice. No change orders because we found something we didn’t expect, and no “well, that was more work than we thought” add-ons. Our 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the installation: if a section shifts or settles inside the first year, we come back and fix it at no charge, in writing on every project.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely inspect your own driveway. Walk it barefoot after a rain and feel for rocking pavers. Look for ant mounds at the joints. Watch where water sits. That’s all safe and useful diagnostic information to have before you call anyone.
What you shouldn’t do is start pulling pavers on your own, especially near the driveway edge or in a section that’s carrying vehicle weight. Pavers interlock, and pulling one without understanding the edge restraint can loosen a run of pavers faster than you expect. The heavier work, lifting and re-compacting base material, is not a weekend project with a hand tamper, and a poorly re-set section will fail again within a year. If the area is small and you’re determined, we’ll gladly talk you through what it involves. If it’s a whole-car section or bigger, give us a call at (850) 988-7559 and let us give you a number first, then pick up the tools.
FAQs

With a properly compacted base, Tremron concrete pavers last 25 – 50 years in South Florida. What wears out first is the base and the joint sand, which is why we recommend re-sanding joints every 3 – 5 years and fixing any low spots before they spread. Call (850) 988-7559 for an exact quote on repair work, estimates are free.
If the base under the rest of the driveway is sound, you can repair just a section. We lift the affected pavers, re-compact the base, replace any cracked units, and re-lay the area. Matching older Tremron color is the hard part, and we’ll show you samples before we start.
Most two-car Tremron paver driveway replacements take 3 – 5 working days from tear-out to final compaction, weather permitting. Miami’s afternoon storms can stretch that by a day or two during the summer, and we’ll tell you the schedule in writing before we start.
We source Tremron-compatible pavers directly from the manufacturer or their Miami-area distributors, and we can also supply Belgard or Unilock equivalents when a match isn’t available. You don’t need to buy anything ahead of time. We’ll bring the pavers, the base, and the crew, and the material cost is already in your written price.
If your Tremron driveway is shifting, cracking, or holding water after every Miami storm, call us at (850) 988-7559. We’ll do an honest assessment, write the number down, and stand behind the work for a full year after it’s done. We also stock and install parts for KraftMaid cabinetry, Cambria and Silestone countertops, so if the driveway was just step one, we’ll have a look at the rest while we’re there.
